Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on food processing machinery to ensure continuous production flow.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and document all maintenance activities in accordance with SOPs.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve recurring mechanical bottlenecks.
- Ensure all mechanical setups comply with food safety standards and workplace health and safety (WSH) regulations.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new production line equipment.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and request replenishments when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in the food and beverage or FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- A proactive mindset toward workplace safety and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to work on shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns as needed.
- Basic knowledge of electrical control systems is considered a significant advantage.
