Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage legal project schedules, deadlines, and deliverables for the Institutional Legal Counsel team
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, and institutional correspondence with attention to detail
- Conduct legal research and compile relevant information to support counsel in case preparation and policy development
- Maintain comprehensive filing systems and databases for legal documents and institutional records
- Facilitate communication between legal counsel and various university departments regarding legal matters and compliance requirements
- Assist in organizing meetings, hearings, and institutional legal proceedings, including preparing agendas and minute-taking
- Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates and reports to the legal team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Prior experience in legal assistance, administrative support, or paralegal work is an advantage
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy in document preparation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
