Prestige Law Partners is seeking a detailāoriented Senior Paralegal to support our litigation and corporate practice teams in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, document preparation, and case management, thriving in a fastāpaced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and summarize findings for attorneys.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, contracts, and corporate documents.
- Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and paper, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and external vendors for depositions and discovery.
- Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and witness coordination.
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and court filings using case management software.
- Perform billing support and prepare invoices under attorney supervision.
- Stay current with changes in federal, state, and local regulations affecting practice areas.
Qualifications
- Associateās or Bachelorās degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field; paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce errorāfree legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of federal and New York state court rules and procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Familiarity with eāfiling systems (NYSCEF) and eādiscovery tools.
