Job Description
Solana Tec Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated Project/Design Engineer Intern to join our fast-growing team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This internship offers hands-on experience in product development, engineering design processes, and project coordination. You will collaborate with senior engineers to support mechanical design, CAD modeling, prototyping, testing, and technical documentation. The role provides exposure to the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to validation, helping you build practical skills that matter in today’s manufacturing environments. This is a part-time internship with a competitive monthly stipend of RM 800 to RM 1,000, and opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow with the company.

Responsibilities
- Assist in mechanical design and CAD modeling using tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Create and update 3D models, technical drawings, and bill of materials (BOM)
- Support prototype fabrication, testing, and data collection for validation
- Contribute to tolerancing, GD&T, and design calculations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics, manufacturing, and quality
- Assist in design reviews, documentation, and change control
- Prepare status reports and track project milestones
- Gain exposure to the end-to-end product development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Familiar with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and material selection
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Proficient with MS Office and technical documentation practices
