Responsibilities
- Develop detailed interior design concepts and space planning for commercial retail projects.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for interior fit-out works.
- Manage project documentation, including floor plans, 3D renderings, and technical construction drawings.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure design intent is maintained, and oversee quality control.
- Liaise with vendors, sub-contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Perform quantity take-offs and manage contract variations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all designs comply with building regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience in interior design or project coordination, preferably within the retail or commercial sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, building codes, and fit-out specifications.
- Exceptional numeracy skills with an eye for detail in cost planning and project estimation.
- Ability to multitask in a 5-day work week environment while meeting tight project deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholder relationships.
