Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of safety by ensuring strict adherence to WSH regulations and Schindler safety policies for all site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Conduct comprehensive safety walks, hazard identification, and risk assessments on a regular basis.
  • Lead and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality of work, adherence to schedules, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage project timelines, procurement of materials, and site logistics to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact, facilitating clear communication between clients, architects, consultants, and internal project stakeholders.
  • Review and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals to guide field teams and resolve technical issues on-site.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including progress reports, method statements, and safety records, ensuring full audit readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement by contributing to safety audits, incident investigations, and the implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in project engineering, preferably in the lift, escalator, construction, or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and Code of Practice.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to site management.
  • Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Class 3 driving license is highly advantageous for site coverage across Singapore.
