Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our project team based in Tampines North, East Region. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will report directly to the Project Manager and assist in overseeing all technical and engineering aspects of the project. Your core duties will involve planning and coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and maintaining rigorous quality control and safety standards. You will act as a vital link between the site team, consultants, and clients, ensuring clear communication and seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure full compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise site activities, including managing subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor to achieve construction milestones efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit method statements, work procedures, risk assessments (RA), and safe work procedures (SWP) in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety standards, and environmental controls, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities to resolve technical issues, secure approvals, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, track costs, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and client review.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure all works meet the required specifications, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or building construction projects in Singapore.
  • Prior experience with LTA, PUB, HDB, or other government infrastructure projects is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations (Workplace Safety and Health Act), and environmental standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Candidates with relevant safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, Lifting Supervisor, Safety Coordinator) will have an added advantage.
