Job Description

At Koollogix Pte. Ltd., we are at the forefront of next-generation data center infrastructure. We're looking for a dynamic and technically adept Project Engineer (Data Center Thermal Management) to lead complex projects from initial concept through successful handover. In this role, you will be the key technical authority on thermodynamics, cooling systems, and energy efficiency within mission-critical environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to design, install, and commission cutting-edge thermal management solutions. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability, sustainability, and performance of high-density data centers across Singapore. If you thrive on solving complex heat load challenges and driving projects to completion, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact.

We offer a collaborative culture, exposure to state-of-the-art technologies, and a clear path for professional growth. Join us in powering the digital future with efficient, innovative cooling strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for data center thermal management systems, including design review, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Perform detailed thermodynamic and heat load calculations to optimize cooling infrastructure (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers, liquid cooling).
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, and budgets; track progress and report to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to ensure seamless integration of thermal solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments, risk analyses, and quality audits to maintain compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute).
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including procurement of specialized equipment and materials.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including method statements, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable cooling strategies to reduce PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on project engineering experience in data center thermal management or HVAC systems.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles applied to cooling systems.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (ASHRAE, ISO, SS 564) and local building codes in Singapore.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera) and engineering tools (AutoCAD, CFD simulation – preferred).
  • Professional certification (e.g., PE, CEM, LEED AP) is a strong advantage.
