Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and evaluating potential vendors to ensure high-quality material procurement at competitive prices.
  • Managing purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
  • Tracking orders to ensure timely delivery and resolving any logistical issues or discrepancies immediately.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities, vendor databases, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinating with internal departments to anticipate supply needs and ensure operational continuity.
  • Conducting periodic price comparisons and market research to optimize company spending.
  • Managing communication with suppliers regarding claims, returns, or quality issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma (D3) degree in Management, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Staff, Procurement Assistant, or similar administrative role.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and inventory management software.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
