Able Dairies, a dynamic and expanding dairy manufacturing company in Malaysia, is looking for an experienced QA & R&D Manager to drive our quality and innovation agenda. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance and research & development, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of food safety, regulatory compliance, and consumer satisfaction.
You will lead a talented team of QA and R&D professionals, implement cuttingâedge testing protocols, and collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and marketing to bring new dairy products to market faster. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and SOPs aligned with GMP, ISO 22000, and local food safety regulations.
- Lead the R&D department in designing, prototyping, and scaling new dairy products from concept to launch, ensuring sensory, nutritional, and shelfâlife targets are met.
- Conduct rigorous testing of raw materials, inâprocess samples, and finished products, interpreting data to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, customers, and thirdâparty auditors to ensure compliance and facilitate certifications.
- Identify and implement process optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance and/or research & development within a food or dairy manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing QA/R&D teams and delivering successful product launches.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000) and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
- Excellent analytical, problemâsolving, and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in statistical tools and software.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities, capable of working crossâfunctionally with production, procurement, and marketing teams.
