About the Role
Orapi Applied, a leader in industrial cleaning and hygiene solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QC Lab Intern to join our Quality Control team in Tuas, Singapore. This internship offers hands-on experience in ensuring that raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products meet stringent quality and safety standards. You will work closely with experienced chemists and lab technicians, gaining practical skills in laboratory testing, documentation, and process improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in performing routine physical and chemical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare samples for analysis using laboratory equipment such as pH meters, viscometers, balances, and titration apparatus.
- Record and verify test results accurately, identifying any deviations from specifications and reporting to senior QC staff.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities when quality issues arise.
- Assist in documentation tasks, including updating quality records, logbooks, and test reports.
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to support quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related science discipline.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and laboratory safety practices.
- Familiarity with common analytical techniques (e.g., titration, pH measurement, viscosity testing) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures precisely.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data recording and reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior internship or lab experience is a plus, but not required.
