About the Role

Orapi Applied, a leader in industrial cleaning and hygiene solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QC Lab Intern to join our Quality Control team in Tuas, Singapore. Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing routine physical and chemical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare samples for analysis using laboratory equipment such as pH meters, viscometers, balances, and titration apparatus.
  • Record and verify test results accurately, identifying any deviations from specifications and reporting to senior QC staff.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities when quality issues arise.
  • Assist in documentation tasks, including updating quality records, logbooks, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D teams to support quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related science discipline.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and laboratory safety practices.
  • Familiarity with common analytical techniques (e.g., titration, pH measurement, viscosity testing) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures precisely.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data recording and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior internship or lab experience is a plus, but not required.
