Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily receiving operations, ensuring timely unloading and inspection of goods from suppliers.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the receiving staff to ensure compliance with company safety and operational policies.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery receipts, purchase orders, and invoices against physical shipments.
- Coordinate with the merchandising team for the swift and accurate placement of goods in the selling area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving bay and storage area.
- Manage inventory records and conduct periodic stock checks to minimize discrepancies and shrinkage.
- Prepare daily reports regarding delivery status, damage logs, and inventory movement for store management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a frontline team.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer applications (MS Excel/Word).
- Keen eye for detail with a proven track record of maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of handling supplier and internal team interactions.
- Willingness to work in shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays.
