Responsibilities
- Lead research and development in advanced remanufacturing processes and technologies
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate new additive manufacturing techniques for remanufacturing applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for industry partners
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in additive manufacturing and remanufacturing technologies
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, and patent applications for novel technologies
- Supervise junior researchers and interns, providing guidance on research methodologies and technical skills
- Participate in industry engagement activities, including workshops, conferences, and technology transfer initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Strong background in additive manufacturing technologies and processes
- Experience with remanufacturing techniques and sustainable manufacturing practices
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of publishing research papers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing and remanufacturing
