Join the NTI-NTU Corporate Lab as a Research Engineer II (Lab Ops) and lead the operational success of our cutting-edge research environment in Singapore. This role involves the management of sophisticated equipment, strict adherence to safety protocols, and providing high-level technical support to researchers and students. Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations and workflow management of the research laboratory to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on advanced research equipment and instrumentation.
- Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols in accordance with Singapore regulations.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including procurement of consumables, chemicals, and equipment spare parts.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service technicians for equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to graduate students, research fellows, and visiting scientists.
- Assist Principal Investigators (PIs) in designing experimental setups and providing technical feasibility feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory or core facility setting.
- Proven experience with equipment installation, operation, and maintenance in a research context.
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
