Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize welding and remanufacturing processes for high‑performance metallic components.
- Conduct experimental trials, data analysis, and performance modeling to improve process efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including materials scientists, mechanical engineers, and industry partners to deliver integrated solutions.
- Document research findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to stakeholders and at international conferences.
- Support the translation of laboratory prototypes into production‑ready processes, including cost and feasibility assessments.
- Maintain a safe laboratory environment, ensure compliance with safety standards, and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Solid understanding of welding technologies (e.g., TIG, MIG, laser, friction stir) and experience with process parameter optimization.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS) for design and simulation is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software (Python, MATLAB, or similar) for experimental data interpretation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a track record of delivering results in a research or industrial setting.
- Prior exposure to remanufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 concepts is an advantage.
