Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute microbiological research experiments within the Pharmacy Therapy unit.
- Manage laboratory documentation to ensure full compliance with licensing and accreditation standards (e.g., ISO, CAP).
- Perform routine microbiological testing, including bacterial culture, identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
- Conduct regular quality control audits to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to facilitate research sample collection and processing.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory workflows.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all instruments are calibrated according to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory accreditation processes and quality management systems.
- Strong technical skills in aseptic techniques and microbiological analytical methods.
- Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable laboratory improvements.
