Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute microbiological research experiments within the Pharmacy Therapy unit.

  • Perform routine microbiological testing, including bacterial culture, identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
  • Conduct regular quality control audits to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to facilitate research sample collection and processing.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory workflows.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all instruments are calibrated according to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory accreditation processes and quality management systems.
  • Strong technical skills in aseptic techniques and microbiological analytical methods.
  • Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office suite.
