Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily site activities, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards for all C&S works.
- Supervise the construction of deep basements, specifically ensuring proper execution of top-down construction methods, bored piling, and precast concrete erection.
- Conduct regular inspections and checks on construction materials, workmanship, and progress to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., BCA) and project timelines.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements, providing technical advice and resolving site-related issues promptly.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities to coordinate work, facilitate inspections, and ensure smooth project progression.
- Prepare comprehensive site reports, progress updates, and documentation, maintaining accurate records of all site activities and inspections.
- Implement and enforce robust safety protocols and environmental regulations on site, fostering a culture of health and safety among all personnel.
- Monitor resource allocation, equipment utilization, and manpower deployment to optimize efficiency and maintain project budget and schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore, or eligible for registration.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in civil and structural supervision, with significant exposure to large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
- Demonstrable expertise in supervising deep basement construction, including the practical application of top-down construction, bored pile systems, and precast concrete.
- Thorough knowledge of Singapore's building codes, regulations (e.g., BCA), and construction safety standards.
- Proven ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing site teams and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
