As a Retail Associate, you will be the face of our brands, building genuine customer relationships and providing accurate, passionate product knowledge. You will drive sales through world-class service, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile and a desire to return. Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers warmly, building lasting rapport and loyalty.
- Understand customer needs and recommend products from Läderach chocolate, TWG Tea, or Bacha Coffee with enthusiasm and expertise.
- Consistently achieve individual and team sales targets while maintaining high service standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards – ensure displays are attractive, stocked, and clean.
- Handle cash, credit card, and online payment transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Manage inventory, including receiving stock, rotating products, and performing periodic counts.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and brand stories to educate customers effectively.
- Resolve customer inquiries or complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail or customer service experience (luxury or gourmet food industry preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
- Passion for premium chocolates, teas, and coffee – willingness to learn product details.
- Strong sales drive with a friendly, approachable personality.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts (airport operating hours).
- Attention to detail in cash handling, inventory management, and visual presentation.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15kg occasionally.
- Must be Malaysian citizen or hold valid work permit for Malaysia.
