The Municipal Government of Baliuag, Bulacan is seeking a highly competent and dedicated Senior Agriculturist to serve in the Ilocos Region. As a Senior Agriculturist, your primary responsibilities will include leading the comprehensive planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of municipal agricultural programs. You will provide high-level technical expertise and strategic guidance to farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and local government units on modern farming methodologies, integrated pest management, advanced irrigation systems, soil health restoration, and innovative post-harvest technologies. You will also be tasked with organizing and facilitating extensive training programs and technical briefings to advance the skills and knowledge of local agricultural stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of municipal agricultural development plans and programs.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to farmers, farm workers, and agricultural cooperatives on crop production, livestock management, and best farming practices.
- Conduct comprehensive research and feasibility studies to support agricultural projects and funding proposals.
- Organize and facilitate training, seminars, and field demonstrations on modern agricultural technologies and sustainable farming systems.
- Coordinate with national government agencies for the effective delivery of agricultural services and support.
- Develop and manage budgets for agricultural programs, ensuring efficient utilization of allocated resources.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on project accomplishments, program impact, and resource utilization to higher management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in agricultural program management or extension services.
- Required eligibility: Career Service Professional or RA 1080 (Agriculturist) license.
- Strong understanding of local agricultural policies, DA programs, and sustainable farming principles.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and budget management.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Ilocos Region for field work and community engagements.
- Excellent communication skills in Filipino and English.
