Senior Architectural Revit Modeler – Data Centre

Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Revit Modeler – Data Centre to join our dynamic engineering and design team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be responsible for independently developing, coordinating, and maintaining complex 3D models for cutting‑edge data centre projects, ensuring design intent, constructability, and compliance with global BIM standards.

You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce high‑quality deliverables, resolve clashes, and drive innovation in digital design workflows. The ideal candidate combines a passion for technological advancement with strong communication skills and a proven track record of delivering large‑scale BIM projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and maintenance of high‑fidelity Revit models for data centre facilities, including architecture, structure, and MEP coordination.
• Ensure model integrity and adherence to Jacobs’ BIM execution plans, project standards, and industry best practices (ISO 19650).
• Perform multidisciplinary clash detection and coordination, producing actionable reports and driving resolution with the project team.
• Develop and implement parametric families, scripts, and Revit plugins to improve modeling efficiency and consistency.
• Mentor junior modelers, provide technical guidance, and champion continuous improvement initiatives within the BIM community.
• Support quantity take‑offs, cost estimation, and facility management documentation as required by the project lifecycle.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders, presenting model data and participating in design reviews and workshops.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Revit modeling, with at least 2 years focused on data centre or high‑tech facility projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, MEP), Navisworks, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Solid understanding of BIM workflows, LOD definitions, and documentation standards (e.g., UniFormat, MasterFormat).
• Experience with scripting tools such as Dynamo or Python for automation is highly advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Malay language proficiency is a plus.
• Membership in a professional body (e.g., PAM, RIBA, or equivalent) is desirable.
