Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for electrical OEM components, specifically focusing on cable assemblies and interconnect solutions.
- Lead global supplier identification, qualification, and performance management to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, volume aggregation, and value engineering collaborations.
- Manage end-to-end contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for pricing, lead times, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and Engineering teams to provide early supplier involvement in the product development lifecycle.
- Monitor market trends and raw material pricing (e.g., copper, resins) to mitigate supply risks and maintain budget control.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and business reviews to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience, specifically within the electrical/electronics manufacturing sector.
- Strong technical understanding of cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and complex electrical OEM components.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and delivering sustainable cost savings.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools for spend management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPM, CSCP) is highly advantageous.
