Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of major infrastructure projects (transportation, water systems, urban development)
- Perform advanced structural analysis using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM modeling
- Ensure compliance with NYC DOT, DEP, and federal regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications
- Develop sustainable solutions for urban resilience challenges
- Prepare engineering reports, permits, and construction documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling (HEC-HMS, SWMM) and geotechnical software
- Demonstrated success with NYC permitting processes
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Strong project management and client relationship skills
- Experience with FEMA floodplain mapping and resilience planning
- Ability to obtain security clearance for federal projects
