Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects, including drainage, sewerage, and road works.
- Supervise a team of junior engineers and technical staff, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Review and approve detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports for project compliance.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits for infrastructure developments.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to resolve complex construction issues on-site.
- Perform cost estimation, risk assessment, and resource allocation for ongoing project phases.
- Ensure all engineering practices adhere to Malaysian standards (BS/MS) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) status or working towards board certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in main infrastructure design and project management.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and drainage simulation software (e.g., MSMA/MIDUSS).
- Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary consulting projects within the Malaysian property or infrastructure sector.
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes, bylaws, and environmental regulations in Johor.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and present technical data to stakeholders.
