Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who specializes in computer vision and multimodal large language models to join our forward-thinking AI team in Singapore. The role focuses on post-training optimization, model integrity, and responsible deployment across real-world applications.
As a key member of the data science function, you will partner with ML engineers, data engineers, product managers, and governance teams to ensure models deliver trusted, high-quality results. You will design evaluation protocols, curate and validate datasets, and implement post-training improvements that boost accuracy, stability, and safety of vision and multimodal systems.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of model integrity initiatives—from data provenance and bias checks to monitoring, drift detection, and alerting. You will translate business needs into measurable ML metrics, build scalable data pipelines and tooling, and contribute to governance and compliance with data privacy and security requirements. The right candidate enjoys collaborating across disciplines, communicating complex ML concepts clearly, and mentoring teammates.
Responsibilities
- Lead post-training optimization and evaluation of computer vision and multimodal LLM systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety.
- Design and implement robust data integrity checks, monitoring dashboards, and anomaly detection for deployed models.
- Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, product managers, and governance teams to translate business needs into ML features and metrics.
- Develop scalable data pipelines and tooling for model monitoring, drift detection, and performance benchmarking.
- Conduct rigorous experimentation and ablation studies to drive improvements in CV and multimodal capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance policies in all AI initiatives.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on data science or ML engineering experience, with focus on computer vision and multimodal models.
- Proven track record of post-training model optimization, evaluation, and deployment.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow); experience with CV and NLP toolkits.
- Experience with data governance, privacy, and security considerations; strong understanding of data integrity.
- Strong SQL and data engineering skills; experience building data pipelines and monitoring dashboards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the Singapore AI/tech ecosystem or willingness to relocate is a plus.
