We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for large-scale hydropower projects. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire electrical engineering lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, commissioning, and project handover. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil and mechanical engineers, to ensure the seamless integration of electrical components into the broader hydropower infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end electrical design for hydropower plants, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Perform comprehensive power system studies such as short-circuit analysis, load flow, and stability assessments.
- Select and specify high-voltage and low-voltage equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure design integrity.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with local regulations, safety standards (IEC, IEEE), and environmental requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical supervision during construction and commissioning phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of proven experience in electrical design, preferably within the hydropower or renewable energy industry.
- Strong proficiency in electrical engineering software such as ETAP, PSS/E, AutoCAD, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Sound knowledge of HV/LV systems, power generation, and distribution networks.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
