Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end administration of research grants, including proposal preparation, submission, and post-award management
- Mentor and guide a team of research administration professionals, fostering professional growth and operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with university policies, funding agency regulations, and legal requirements for all research activities
- Develop and implement efficient processes and workflows to streamline grant administration operations
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators and research teams to provide expert guidance on grant-related matters
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation for research projects
- Build and maintain relationships with funding bodies, external partners, and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in research administration, grants management, or academic finance
- Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to mentor and develop team members
- In-depth knowledge of grant funding mechanisms, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with institutional research administration systems and database management preferred
