Responsibilities
- Lead detailed geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, retaining walls, excavations, and slope stability.
- Perform geotechnical assessments, including soil investigation interpretation, bearing capacity, settlement, and liquefaction analyses.
- Coordinate with structural, civil, and M&E engineers to integrate geotechnical requirements into overall project designs.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and documentation for regulatory submissions and client approvals.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Manage geotechnical risks and provide cost-effective, sustainable solutions to ground-related challenges.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical design and site supervision, preferably in Singapore or Southeast Asia.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration is highly advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W) and AutoCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of local codes, standards (e.g., Eurocode, Singapore Standards), and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety.
