Job Description
Becton Dickinson is seeking a highly motivated Senior Process Engineer to lead materials and process development initiatives for latexâbased products in our Kulim, Kedah facility. You will partner with crossâfunctional teams to drive EHS compliance, quality enhancements, and costâreduction projects while ensuring robust and scalable manufacturing processes.
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to evaluate current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement dataâdriven solutions that align with corporate sustainability goals. Your contributions will directly impact product reliability, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead latex material and process development projects from concept through pilot scale to full production.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal safety standards through risk assessments and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to transfer new technologies and maintain product specifications.
- Implement Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials for process changes and new equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; Masterâs preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in latex, rubber, or polymer manufacturing.
- Proven track record in process optimization, scaleâup, and technology transfer.
- Strong knowledge of EHS standards, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and GMP guidelines.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) and process simulation software.
- Excellent problemâsolving skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
