Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact research projects focusing on the validation and safety assessment of autonomous vehicle navigation systems.
- Develop and refine novel sensor fusion algorithms to enhance environmental perception and object detection accuracy.
- Design rigorous testing scenarios and simulation environments to evaluate AV performance under diverse traffic conditions.
- Mentor junior researchers, PhD students, and interns within the laboratory to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from grant writing and literature reviews to experimental execution and data analysis.
- Present research findings at top-tier international conferences and publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research outcomes into practical, scalable safety frameworks.
Qualifications
- PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of high-quality research publications in reputable journals and conferences (e.g., IEEE ICRA, IV, ITS).
- Strong expertise in sensor technology (LiDAR, Radar, Cameras) and autonomous vehicle safety validation.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python, with experience in ROS/ROS2.
- Deep understanding of machine learning architectures and computer vision for perception systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead research teams and successfully manage complex technical projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between academic research and industry application.
