Join Micron Semiconductors, a global leader in memory solutions, as a Senior/Staff Quality and Reliability Assurance Engineer focused on High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Based in Singapore, you will help ensure that our memory products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance across the design, qualification, and production stages. You will partner with design, process, and manufacturing teams to reduce defect rates, improve yield, and accelerate time-to-market for next generation HBM solutions powering data centers, AI, and HPC workloads. As part of the global QA team, you will own your reliability program end-to-end—from plan development and test execution to data-driven analysis and action. You will lead qualification plans, execute stress tests, accelerated aging, burn-in, and environmental testing, and ensure compliance with JEDEC standards. You will define robust test methodologies, track key reliability metrics, and drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Your insights will help reduce field failures, lower DPPM, and strengthen customer trust in Micron's HBM portfolio.

You will collaborate across functions, mentor junior engineers, and maintain thorough documentation to ensure traceability and transparent risk communication. Responsibilities

  • Lead quality and reliability assurance for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products across the product life cycle.
  • Develop and execute qualification plans, accelerated life tests, burn-in, and environmental tests per industry standards.
  • Define, implement, and monitor test methodologies and reliability metrics, including DPPM reduction and yield improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with design, process, and manufacturing teams to drive defect reduction and design-for-quality decisions.
  • Own defect tracking, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness across internal and supplier interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain reliability test equipment, fixtures, and automation to improve throughput and data quality.
  • Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and communicate risks, status, and recommendations to stakeholders with clear documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; 5+ years for senior roles, 8+ preferred in semiconductor QA/Reliability.
  • Demonstrated experience with memory devices or high-speed memory interfaces (HBM) and knowledge of JEDEC reliability standards.
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with statistical tools (Minitab, JMP, Python) and DOE methodologies.
  • Experience with failure analysis, root-cause investigation, 8D/FMEA, and corrective action planning.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities; proven track record of presenting findings to engineering, operations, and leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with reliability testing labs, burn-in, environmental conditioning, and data logging; scripting or automation experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to work in Singapore, with strong documentation practices and the ability to travel as needed.
