Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable enterprise systems and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing performance tuning strategies.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex system incidents and develop long-term preventative measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate operational tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Oversee disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure maximum system availability.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, architectures, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and lead the integration of new tools to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
- Strong working knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage area networks.
- Proven ability to script and automate system administration tasks.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, AWS Solutions Architect, RHCE) are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a nightshift environment.
