As Indonesia advances its climate commitments, the SIGN SMART platform plays a critical role in compiling transparent, accurate, and comprehensive emissions data across key economic sectors.

In this capacity, you will lead capacity-building initiatives for government stakeholders, technical staff, and institutional partners. You will translate complex climate data protocols into actionable training modules, ensuring that local stakeholders can effectively utilize the SIGN SMART system for national reporting requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in environmental science, climate policy, and adult learning methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive training programs on the SIGN SMART GHG inventory system for national and sub-national government agencies.
  • Develop high-quality training materials, user manuals, and technical guides tailored to diverse stakeholder proficiency levels.
  • Facilitate workshops and interactive sessions to ensure technical staff are proficient in data entry, validation, and analysis within the platform.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to institutional users to troubleshoot data reporting bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with relevant ministries to ensure alignment between training outcomes and national climate reporting cycles.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, gathering feedback to refine instructional methods and technical content.
  • Support the documentation of GHG inventory processes to improve institutional knowledge retention.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in training facilitation or instructional design, preferably in a public sector context.
  • Deep understanding of IPCC guidelines for national GHG inventories and the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-expert audiences.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory.
