Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform detailed system sizing, energy yield analysis, and equipment selection (PV modules, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, etc.) using industry-standard software like PVSyst or Helioscope.
- Develop comprehensive technical specifications, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and bill of materials (BOMs) for solar and battery installations using CAD tools.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to identify optimal locations, assess energy requirements, and address potential technical challenges.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 5139), and local regulations.
- Provide expert technical support during project implementation, commissioning, and post-installation, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, sales teams, and installation crews to ensure seamless project execution and superior client satisfaction.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar PV, BESS technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve design methodologies and system offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in the design and engineering of grid-tied and off-grid Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g., PEC) and international standards relevant to solar PV and battery installations (e.g., AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 5139 is a significant advantage).
- Proficiency in solar design software such as PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and other relevant CAD tools.
- Experience with various inverter brands (e.g., Fronius, SMA, Sungrow, Solis) and battery technologies (e.g., Lithium-ion, lead-acid).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
