As a member of our education team, you will plan and deliver customized learning activities, using evidence based approaches to strengthen communication, social interaction, cognition, and daily living skills. You will collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavior specialists to provide integrated services in a caring, inclusive setting. Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor individualized education programs IEPs for children with autism, tailoring activities to each learner's strengths and goals.
- Apply evidence based teaching strategies to enhance communication, social skills, play, and daily living tasks.
- Collect and analyze progress data, adjust instructional strategies, and document outcomes clearly for families and team members.
- Collaborate with speech, occupational, and behavior therapists to deliver integrated supports in a coordinated care plan.
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports a diverse range of learning needs.
- Engage with parents and guardians, providing guidance, resources, and regular progress updates.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized learning spaces, while adhering to clinic policies and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in special education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Training or certification in autism interventions (eg ABA based approaches) is desirable.
- Experience working with children on the autism spectrum in educational or clinical settings.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-based decision making.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with families and multidisciplinary staff.
- Creative, patient, adaptable, and able to engage diverse learners through evidence based activities.
- Background check and ability to obtain relevant clearances as required by clinic policy.
