Join The Starting Block as a Sports Coach and become a driving force behind the physical development and confidence of young athletes. In this full‑time role you will design and deliver fun, age‑appropriate training sessions that build fundamental movement skills, teamwork and a love for sport in children aged 5‑12. Working closely with a passionate team of coaches and program managers, you will create seasonal curricula, organize friendly competitions and ensure every child enjoys a safe, inclusive and encouraging environment.
Your key responsibilities will include planning and executing dynamic practice plans, monitoring participant progress, communicating regularly with parents and caregivers, and maintaining equipment and attendance records. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our sports programs by sharing best practices and participating in staff development activities.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver age‑appropriate training sessions for children aged 5‑12.

- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all athletes.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members.
- Maintain equipment, track attendance, and uphold program standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience coaching sports to children or youth groups.
- Strong knowledge of fundamental movement skills and sports rules.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; additional coaching qualifications are a plus.
