Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Engineer to join our sustaining team. In this role, you will take ownership of product lines after they transition into volume production, ensuring continuous improvement in yield, quality, and reliability. You will be the technical focal point for production and customer escalations, applying rigorous analysis to resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
Collaborating with design, test, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will drive engineering changes, manage product qualifications, and support customer requirements. Your work will directly influence product success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Manage product lifecycle for assigned products, from prototype to end-of-life, ensuring continuity and smooth transitions.
- Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis for production and customer issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive yield improvement and cost reduction through data analysis, design of experiments, and process optimization.
- Collaborate with design engineering to evaluate and implement engineering changes, managing change control processes.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, resolving assembly and test related problems.
- Monitor product health metrics, including yield, quality, and reliability, and report to management.
- Interface with customers on technical matters, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for new product introduction and qualification as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in product engineering or sustaining engineering in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (wafer fab, assembly, test).
- Proven experience in yield analysis and improvement using statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis.
- Good understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and reliability testing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment.
- Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
