Renesas is a leading semiconductor solutions provider, and we are seeking a talented Staff Product Engineer (Logistic) to join our sustaining team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure product continuity and excellence after mass production.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistic aspects of product engineering, ensuring seamless transition from development to mass production and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and design teams to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product engineering with a focus on logistic operations within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry. You should be passionate about problem-solving, have excellent analytical skills, and be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure product continuity and quality after mass production transition
- Manage logistic operations and coordinate with manufacturing teams for product flow optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product performance and logistics
- Implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor product performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for product lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering or logistic operations within semiconductor or electronics industry
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
