Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, cookware, and cutlery to company standards
  • Operate industrial dishwashers and perform manual washing of delicate items
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, drains, and food storage areas
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of buffet lines, events, and daily service
  • Properly store, organize, and inventory cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Support the culinary team with basic food preparation and station setup as needed
  • Conduct routine inspections of dishwashing machinery and report any maintenance issues
  • Adhere strictly to all HACCP, sanitation, and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Steward, Dishwasher, or Kitchen Helper (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sanitation, hygiene standards, and cleaning agents
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and stand for long shifts
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Basic English communication skills are an advantage
  • High school diploma or equivalent; valid food handler's card is a plus
