As a Stocktake Counter, you will be responsible for conducting regular inventory checks, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting the smooth operation of stock management processes. Your efforts directly impact product availability, customer satisfaction, and overall store performance. Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely stocktakes of merchandise across assigned store areas.
- Record inventory counts using designated systems and ensure data integrity.
- Identify and investigate variances between physical stock and system records.
- Assist in the preparation of stocktake reports and communicate findings to store management.
- Support the implementation of stock control procedures to minimise shrinkage.
- Maintain a tidy and organised stockroom environment during counting activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure stocktake schedules are met efficiently.
- Adhere to health, safety, and company policies throughout all stocktake operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification; retail or administration background preferred.
- Proven experience in stocktaking, inventory control, or a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong numerical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic data entry and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by retail operations.
