In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our inventory across our retail branches. You will be responsible for ensuring that our stock records are accurate, conducting physical counts, and collaborating with our store management to ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead and perform periodic physical stock counts at various Watsons retail branches in Penang.
- Collaborate with store managers to schedule and execute inventory audits according to regional timelines.
- Maintain precise digital and physical records of stock levels for management review and internal audit processes.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or shrinkage issues promptly.
- Supervise a small team of associates during large-scale stocktaking exercises to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all store areas, including stockrooms and display shelves, are organized according to company standards.
- Generate clear and accurate inventory reports post-stocktake for head office documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; diploma holders in business or retail management are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in retail, inventory management, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Strong numerical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to different Watsons branch locations within Penang as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or early morning sessions to accommodate stocktake schedules.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel) for record-keeping purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a small team effectively.
