Please note the distinct roles and compensation: Technician roles offer a basic salary up to $2,800 per month, while Engineer roles provide a basic salary up to $3,900 per month, plus transport allowance. The listed salary range of $3,900 - $4,200 per month is indicative of the Engineer-level positions.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, termination, testing, and commissioning of structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Fiber Optics).
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Audio Visual (AV) systems, including projectors, displays, video conferencing, and sound systems.
- Implement and maintain Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems such as CCTV, access control, public address, and intercom systems.
- Conduct site surveys, assess client requirements, and prepare necessary documentation and reports.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Adhere to safety standards, project timelines, and quality specifications.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users as required.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- ITE/Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (2+ years for Technician, 3+ years for Engineer) in structured cabling, AV systems, or ELV installations and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, IP protocols, and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment (e.g., Fluke tester, OTDR, audio analyzers).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.
