Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive land surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys using advanced equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and LiDAR.
- Setting out and verifying the alignment, level, and dimensions of structures and infrastructure components in accordance with engineering designs and specifications.
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing survey data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting.
- Preparing detailed survey reports, maps, plans, and drawings using CAD and GIS software for project documentation and decision-making.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, civil engineers, and construction teams to interpret drawings, resolve discrepancies, and provide technical guidance on site.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant surveying standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures throughout all survey operations.
- Maintaining and calibrating surveying instruments, performing routine checks to ensure optimal performance and data reliability.
- Identifying and recommending innovative surveying techniques and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy on projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Survey Engineer, preferably within the construction or infrastructure development industry.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of surveying instruments, including Total Stations, GNSS/GPS receivers, and automatic levels.
- Strong command of surveying software such such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS platforms, and data processing tools.
- Solid understanding of surveying principles, methods, legal regulations, and industry best practices in Malaysia.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team environment.
- Ability to work independently in various site conditions and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
