About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Central Region. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, implementation, support, and maintenance of IT infrastructure solutions for our managed services clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of critical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure servers, networking equipment, and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) for client projects.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and change logs.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to upgrade and patch infrastructure components.
- Assist in designing scalable and secure IT architectures for new and existing clients.
- Conduct regular security audits and enforce compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a System Engineer or similar role in a managed services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu), Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) and storage systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing) and tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Certifications such as Microsoft MCSA, CompTIA Server+, or VMware VCP are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
