As a Tea & Dessert Barista, you will craft high-quality beverages and desserts, engage with customers, and contribute to a clean, welcoming counter. Key responsibilities and opportunities include learning specialty teas, latte art, dessert presentation, and daily operations. You will collaborate with teammates to maintain stock, rotate products, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. With each customer interaction, you will showcase excellent service, promote menu items, and help create memorable moments that bring guests back.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality tea, coffee, and dessert offerings to customers.
- Operate and clean espresso machines, tea brewers, cold beverage equipment, ovens, and display cases.
- Take customer orders, upsell beverages and dessert items, and process payments accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station; adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise products; monitor ingredient levels and report shortages.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating needs and resolving issues with a positive attitude.
- Collaborate with team to ensure timely service and smooth operation during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or a strong passion for beverages and desserts.
- Knowledge of espresso methods, milk texturing, tea brewing, and dessert presentation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle busy periods.
- Basic math and cash handling capability; experience with POS systems.
- Attention to cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
