Responsibilities

  • Assist the KLC Kindergarten Supervisor in managing daily operations of the daycare centre.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
  • Monitor and assess children's developmental progress and provide feedback to parents.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Foster positive social interactions and emotional growth among children.
  • Model and instill positive values and good behavior habits.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and centre events.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with children in a daycare or kindergarten setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children.
  • Ability to plan and organize activities effectively.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to upholding the values and mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
