Join the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) as a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Primary School for a 1-year contract starting August 2026 at our Dover Campus. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the UWCSEA primary curriculum for Grades 1 and 2.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of each student.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences and participate in curriculum development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and areas for growth.
- Supervise students during activities, field trips, and break times to ensure safety and well-being.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in co-curricular activities, events, and professional learning communities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education (Primary) or a related field with a recognized teaching qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of successful full-time teaching experience at the primary school level, preferably with Grades 1 or 2.
- Experience in an international school or a multicultural environment is strongly preferred.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an asset.
- Strong understanding of child development, inquiry-based learning, and differentiated instruction.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to the UWC mission and values, including peace, sustainability, and intercultural understanding.
- Valid teaching certification or license from the candidate's home country.
