Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers and engineers in the preparation of detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications using various CAD software.
- Translate conceptual designs and sketches into accurate 2D and 3D models, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
- Maintain and organize comprehensive design documentation, project files, and material libraries for easy access and reference.
- Conduct thorough research on materials, components, and manufacturing processes to inform and support design decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to ensure design feasibility and seamless project execution.
- Prepare engaging presentation materials, renderings, and visual aids for design reviews and client presentations.
- Perform basic calculations and analyze design constraints to optimize product functionality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the quality assurance process by meticulously reviewing designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Industrial Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Proven proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Revit, or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, technical drawing conventions, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for both aesthetic design and functional requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create complex technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in a design, engineering, or architectural support role is highly advantageous.
