We are seeking a dedicated Technician - DTL Signalling (Shiftwork) to join the engineering team at SBS Transit. As a key player in Singapore's public transport network, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our rail systems. This role involves comprehensive maintenance, inventory management, and documentation for the signalling system and platform screen doors. Your primary responsibilities will include performing daily preventive maintenance checks, troubleshooting complex faults in signalling equipment, and ensuring the seamless operation of platform screen doors. You will be required to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, to support continuous train operations. Responsibilities
- Perform daily preventive maintenance on the signalling system and platform screen doors (PSD).
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts and consumables efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation and work reports.
- Collaborate with operations teams to schedule and execute maintenance during off-peak hours.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and rectify faults promptly to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- NITEC or Higher NITEC in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in railway signalling or MRT maintenance.
- Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards (SS 527, SS 456) is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
