We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Test Engineer (LabVIEW) to join the dynamic engineering team at Advanced Energy. Based in Simpang Ampat, Penang, this full-time position is a critical role within our manufacturing and product validation division. In this position, you will leverage your technical expertise to ensure the highest standards of product quality and reliability. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of testing, from the design of automated test systems to the maintenance of high-volume production equipment. As a Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance. Your work directly impacts the efficiency of our production lines and the success of our product transfers. You will be tasked with building and qualifying new test systems that meet rigorous industry standards, while ensuring existing production test equipment remains operational and accurate. Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot production test equipment to ensure optimal uptime and accuracy.
- Manage product transfers between development and manufacturing environments, ensuring seamless integration.
- Design, build, and qualify automated test systems using LabVIEW and relevant hardware.
- Develop and deliver detailed test plans, test cases, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to define test specifications and validate new product features.
- Analyze test data and results to identify trends, defects, and areas for process improvement.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in LabVIEW with demonstrated experience in developing automation applications.
- Experience with test hardware, data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with production test equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create clear, concise technical reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative engineering team.
