Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and courteous table service to restaurant guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, communicating them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff
- Ensure the dining area is properly set up, clean, and well-maintained before, during, and after service
- Deliver food and beverages to tables with care, checking that orders are correct before serving
- Address guest inquiries and handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and politely
- Process payments and ensure all transactions are handled accurately and securely
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, fellow servers, and management to ensure smooth service operations
- Maintain knowledge of the menu items, daily specials, and promotions to provide informed recommendations to guests
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Waiter in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
- Excellent time management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tables simultaneously
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and carrying heavy trays
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and peak dining hours
- Basic understanding of point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Malaysian citizens or valid work permits are preferred for this position
